• Electronic Cleaning: Used in stripping solutions and flux removers due to its high solvency power and stability.

• Coatings: Acts as a flow promoter and coalescing agent in high-solids coatings and waterborne paints.

• Synthesis: Inert reaction solvent for organometallic reactions (e.g., Grignard reactions).
