Ancient Charm and New Dreams: Impressions of Quanzhou – Royalchem 2024 Team-Building Trip

This winter, we embarked on a warm journey to explore Quanzhou, the ancient maritime Silk Road city. Known as “Wenling,” this city, with its rich cultural heritage and breathtaking landscapes, gifted us an unforgettable four-day experience.

Discovering History and Culture: A Journey Through Time
At Luojia Temple, the rising tide makes the entire monastery seem to float on the sea, living up to its name as the “Buddhist Kingdom on the Isles.” On Qingyuan Mountain, the spiritual aura of Laojun Rock and Qianshou Rock showcases Taoist culture. Standing before Bixiao Rock, where Master Hong Yi once lived, we reflected on his profound wisdom and artistry. Meanwhile, the twin pagodas of Kaiyuan Temple rise majestically into the sky, narrating the history of this ancient city, while the vibrant red walls and the elegant figures in cheongsam create a picturesque Oriental tableau.

In Chongwu Ancient City, the best-preserved Ming Dynasty coastal fortress, we were transported back in time. At Xunpu Fishing Village, traditional and modern lifestyles intertwined. Women continue the tradition of Zan Hua, adorning their hair with fresh flowers as a symbol of beauty and blessings, while the pear garden opera performances by Luoyang Bridge added a touch of elegance to this ancient masterpiece. The “imperial palace-style” architecture and Western-style mansions in Wudian City offered a unique glimpse into Minnan culture.

Relishing Food and Scenery: Building Stronger Bonds
Strolling down West Street, every bite—from rice noodles and oyster omelets to vinegar pork and four-fruit soup—was a feast for the senses. At HuiAn Girl Cultural Park, tradition and modernity blended seamlessly. Throughout the journey, colleagues supported and inspired each other, strengthening teamwork and mutual trust. We laughed and chatted as we roamed the streets of the ancient city and savored Minnan delicacies together.

Cherished Memories and Future Aspirations
Though short, these four days allowed us to deeply experience the charm of this maritime Silk Road city, where the ancient meets the modern, and nature blends harmoniously with culture. The Zan Hua photos added a touch of grace to our team-building trip. These warm memories will not only remain in our hearts but also inspire us to move forward, contributing to the company’s growth and future achievements.
