Critical noble gas for semiconductor and high-energy physics:

  • Semiconductor Lithography (Top Use): Acts as the primary Buffer Gas (>95%) in ArF (193nm) and KrF (248nm) Excimer Lasers for DUV photolithography.                        

  • Laser Technology: Active medium in Helium-Neon (He-Ne) lasers used for barcode scanning, alignment, and optical research.

  • Cryogenics: Liquid Neon has 40x the refrigerating capacity of Liquid Helium per volume, ideal for specialized low-temperature cooling (25K to 40K range).

  • Display & Lighting: Essential for high-voltage indicators, plasma displays (PDP), and iconic Neon signage (Red/Orange glow).
